The power of taking a breath is not only amazing, but it has been clinically proven to help reduce stress, and to help reduce blood pressure. Here are 5 easy steps to get you on your way to less stress today.
 Breathe Away Your Stress.
Step 1: Find Your Chill Zone
Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you can sit or lie down without interruptions. This could be your favorite cozy chair, a peaceful corner of your home, or even a serene outdoor space. The key is to be in a place where you feel safe and relaxed
Step 2: The Deep Dive
Start by taking a deep breath in through your nose, letting your belly expand like a balloon. Hold it for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth, letting all the tension flow out with your breath. Repeat this a few times, focusing on the rise and fall of your belly.
Step 3: Count It Out
Now, try a simple breathing exercise called “4-7-8 Breathing.” Breathe in quietly through your nose for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 7. Then exhale completely through your mouth for a count of 8. Do this for four cycles. This technique helps to slow your heart rate and calm your nervous system.
Step 4: Visualization Vacation
As you continue to breathe deeply, close your eyes and imagine a peaceful scene. This could be a serene beach, a tranquil forest, or anywhere that makes you feel at ease. Picture yourself there, breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the calmness of your surroundings.
Step 5: Keep the Calm
Once you feel more relaxed, take a moment to enjoy this peaceful state. Slowly open your eyes and bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Remember that you can use these breathing techniques anytime you feel stressed or overwhelmed to quickly return to a state of calm.
No matter what obstacles that you find in your path, use these 5 steps to take a moment of peace whenever you need it. Happy breathing, and good vibes to you.
