What is Kratom?
Mitragyna speciosa, is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea. Kratom leaves have been traditionally used for centuries due to their stimulating and analgesic properties.
The leaves of the Kratom tree contain several active compounds, including mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, which interact with opioid receptors in the brain. These alkaloids are responsible for the various effects that Kratom can produce when consumed.
What is Kava?
Kavalactones are the main compound in Kava, responsible for any noticeable effect. This is akin to how caffeine is the main compound in coffee and tea.
