Just as Mother Nature intended. Few resources are as sustainable as hemp. OCB’s is grown and processed in France using techniques that benefit the environment. The result is one of the strongest, thinnest and slowest-burning papers on Earth. If you’re looking for something Earth-friendly and easy to enjoy, Organic Hemp will do the trick.
About OCB
They imagined, invented, grown, harvested, milled, and manufactured in France. In 1822, brothers René and Guillaume Bolloré built a paper mill next to the Odet River. This location was perfect – when you’re making paper, it’s necessary to have clean, fresh water nearby. As the business grew, the family expanded operations into a more modern facility in Cascadec in 1893. The OCB® brand was born in 1918. Their name pays homage to the Odet River, the Cascadec mill, and the Bolloré family origins in the Brittany region of France. They are committed to stewardship of the natural resources needed to sustain Earth. Our company’s paper mill primarily sources organically grown biomass and sustainably harvested materials. The raw materials we source—hemp, wood pulp, bamboo, rice, Acacia gum, and more—are as environmentally-friendly as possible. Their biodegradable packaging is printed with vegetable inks and engineered to be as compact as possible to eliminate paper waste.
